RWE seeks an experienced electric fencer to undertake electric fencing tasks when establishing a new paddock for a goat herd to graze, or to undertake maintenance. The starting point is that the fence line is established with netting. Steps would be to:
- Setup on each post a standoff, generally 300mm out from the fence and 300mm off the ground
- Run wire around the fence line following the agreed upon plan
- Setup the energizer and test the delivery of the electric charge
- The average paddock size is around 5 acres or 2 hectares.
- Commission the electrics ready for the paddock to receive stock
For maintenance purposes, the voltage is monitored and when it drops, the whipper snipper maintenance of the fence line is arranged. If that doesn’t resolve the problem it may take more investigation to establish where the leak or break in the line is located.
On the assumption that RWE provides all materials and consumables and that you have and maintain your own fencing tools and transport, we only require an hourly rate and will then negotiate availability depending on the specific task.
