Single Bale Feeder
Illustrated below is a Single Bale Feeder which we have found very useful for feeding bales of hay to goats.
It prevents the feed being trampled on the ground and gives enough room for the animals to feed together, at least six at a time. This prevents a dominant animal from pushing the others away from the feed because they can just go around the other side and continue feeding. This helps convert more of the feed into animal flesh and has less wastage than feeding on the ground.

Construction detail: Made of Australian Steel 30ml square section galvanised HFS. Galvanised sides, floor and roof as per the photos. Welded joints have been galvanised. The unit will cope well with outside weather but can also be sprayed by you with a paint colour to suit your own requirements.
